Boynuzbükü, Sarsala, Sıralıbük, Domuz Island and the other anchorages of a gulet week between Göcek and Fethiye.
The Göcek coves are the anchorages of a gulet week between Göcek and Fethiye. The gulf holds many bays and islands, so yachts and Blue Voyage boats are regular visitors. Below, we go cove by cove through the stops on our routes. For Cleopatra's Bath, Tersane Island, the Yassıca Islands and Bedri Rahmi Bay, see our guide to Göcek.
The gulf lies within the Fethiye–Göcek Special Environmental Protection Area, declared in 1988. Its islands hold many historic and cultural remains. Our charters start either in Göcek or in Fethiye, because the islands are only an afternoon's sail from Fethiye harbor.
Günlüklü Bay is the first full day's stop on our Göcek 12 islands charter. On the second day, the gulet visits it together with Boynuzbükü and Kille Bükü. On our Istanbul and blue cruise journey, the same three coves fill a day between Göcek and Fethiye.

Boynuzbükü lies inside the protected area. Its western waters, beyond a line across the bay, are closed to commercial fishing. On our charter from Fethiye, you spend a whole day here. The 12 islands route also stops here on its second day.
Kille Bükü is a separate cove from Kille Bay, which goes by the name Büyükova too. On the 12 islands charter, our gulet anchors at Kille Bükü on the second day, right after Boynuzbükü. For a bed ashore, read where to stay in Göcek.
Sarsala is a regular swim stop on our routes through the gulf. On the 12 islands charter, you swim here on the fourth day, before Cleopatra's Bath and Binlik Bay. The Fethiye to Marmaris blue cruise stops on its second day, between Bedri Rahmi Bay and Ağa Limanı. Likewise, the Marmaris–Fethiye–Marmaris cruise follows the same line of bays.
Binlik Bay comes after Sarsala and Cleopatra's Bath on the fourth day of the 12 islands charter. On the Fethiye to Göcek charter, however, you anchor here on the third day, together with Merdivenli Bay in the inner gulf.
Sıralıbük pairs with Bedri Rahmi Bay on the third day of the 12 islands charter. On the Fethiye to Göcek charter, by contrast, it comes just before Cleopatra's Bath.
Merdivenli Bay lies in the inner gulf on both of our Göcek charters. On the 12 islands route, it then follows Yavansu, on the way to Domuz Island.
Yavansu is the first inner-gulf stop of the 12 islands charter. Together with Hamam (a Turkish bath) Bay, it shares one zone that is closed to commercial fishing.
Domuz Island is one of the islands of Fethiye district, and its name means Pig Island. It goes by Prens Adası, or Prince's Island, as well. Its harbor is sheltered from the wind, so boats come alongside and anchor there with ease. The sea between Domuz and Tersane islands is closed to commercial fishing. On the 12 islands charter, the island follows Merdivenli Bay.
After the inner gulf, the 12 islands charter passes through Adaboğazı on the way to Tersane Island. Our Göcek 12 islands tour calls the cove at Adaboğazı Aquarium Bay. On the journey, you take the same strait to Tersane.
On the Fethiye to Göcek charter, Ağa Limanı and Kocabük come right after Red Island. Ağa Limanı is also a stop on the two Marmaris cruises named above. On our Fethiye Göcek diving cruise, it is one of the week's dive stops.
Zeytin Island, or Olive Island, lies at the southern tip of the Yassıca Islands. It takes its name from its olive trees, and it holds an olive press workshop from the Ottoman period. The island is private property, so boats pass it by without stopping.
You reach these coves by boat. The Blue Voyage, Mavi Yolculuk in Turkish, is the gulet cruise of the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts, and Göcek is one of its charter ports. Our 12 islands charter leaves Göcek at about four in the afternoon. By contrast, the Fethiye to Göcek charter starts in Fethiye harbor. Finally, on the Fethiye to Marmaris cruise, the crew chooses each anchorage by the wind.
The Fethiye–Göcek Special Environmental Protection Area dates from 1988. In November 2023, the first seagrass plantings in the area took place in Göcek Bay. However, growing boat traffic and uncontrolled anchoring put these meadows under pressure. Several coves are closed to commercial fishing, among them Boynuzbükü, Yavansu and the inner part of Göcek Bay. Before you anchor, ask your captain about the current mooring rules.

Would you like a week among these coves? Our Göcek 12 islands charter starts and ends in Göcek. The Göcek 12 Islands charter can also start from Fethiye. The coves of Göcek suit a week on your own boat; tell us how many you are and when, and we suggest the gulet.
