About these tours

Turquoise Coast tours make the most sense when you see this coast from the deck of a gulet and from the Lycian ruins above it. Fethiye, Göcek and Kaş are the bases, and our Turquoise Coast guide covers the towns themselves.

Turquoise Coast tours on land: Lycian ruins and a gorge

On land, the Saklıkent and Tlos tour from Fethiye pairs a Lycian city with a gorge. At Tlos, the acropolis stands on a rock about 500 meters (1,640 feet) high, and rock-cut tomb temples line the way up. Then comes Saklıkent Gorge, 300 meters (984 feet) deep, where the river stays cold even in summer.

The Dalyan boat tour takes in rock tombs, hot springs and İztuzu Beach, where loggerhead turtles nest from May to September. Farther east, past Kaş, the Demre, Myra and Kekova tour visits the Church of St. Nicholas and Myra’s rock tombs. After that, a boat crosses the sunken city at Kekova to Kaleköy, ancient Simena.

For a view from above, the Ölüdeniz paragliding flight launches from Babadağ, almost 2,000 meters (6,560 feet) high, with a licensed tandem pilot. The day also leaves time for a swim and the empty village of Kayaköy.

Turquoise Coast tours on the water

Three to eight days on a gulet

Cabin blue cruises last 3 to 8 days, starting or ending in Fethiye, Kaş, Olympos, Kemer or Marmaris. For example, the Kaş to Fethiye cruise takes 3 days, while the Fethiye–Kekova–Fethiye loop takes 7. Fethiye also has themed weeks: a yoga cruise, a diving cruise on a dive gulet and an 18–39 cruise.
