In depth
In Cappadocia, families cook their best meals at home. A private Cappadocia cooking class takes you into a village kitchen, with your own guide and driver.
The Kitchen on the Cappadocia Cooking Class
A local family
First, your driver takes you to a village, where a local family welcomes you into its kitchen. Before the day, we arrange the class on request, and you choose the dishes with the cook. Tell us about any diet or allergy, so the family can plan the meal.
Step by step
Then the cook shows you each step, and your guide translates. So you learn the dishes as families make them at home, from the dough to the last spoon of sauce. Along the way, you also hear how the village lives through the seasons.
The Meal Together
After that, you sit down with the family to eat what you made. Here, the table is the reason for the day, and there is always time for tea afterwards.
From our guides
Our suggestion Stay for tea after the meal, and ask before you photograph the family.

After the meal together, we drive you back to your hotel. For another craft of the region, see our Avanos pottery tour. Would you like to cook in Cappadocia? A local family’s kitchen and the meal you cook together wait in Cappadocia; let us know the day.
