A very small village on the Lycian Way, above the Seven Capes, where the second walking day of our trek ends.
Gey is a very small village on the Lycian Way, between Alınca and Bel. Its newer name is Yediburunlar, which means "seven capes," after the headlands on this stretch of coast. Walkers on the trail still call it Gey, so you will hear both names. There is little to do here, and that is the point of the walk.
You usually see the minaret of the mosque first, as the path comes up out of the olive trees. By the mosque, walkers can fill their bottles and use the toilets. Around it, Gey has a small shop with a short list of supplies and a couple of cafés. The guesthouses also serve food, so nobody leaves hungry.
From Alınca, the path covers about 8 kilometers (5 miles). It dips into a valley and crosses rocky slopes above the sea. Then it passes terraced meadows and an old cistern before the woods and olive groves below the village.
Our Lycian Way trek ends its second walking day here. Then your car takes you back to your hotel. The next morning, it brings you back to Gey for the easier day, about 13 kilometers (8 miles) on to Gavurağılı by way of Bel. At the end of that walk, we drive you to Kalkan for the next nights.
Two guesthouses stand in the village, right opposite each other. Alternatively, the Yediburunlar Lighthouse Hotel sits on the cliffs a little way off the route. Its views run over the Seven Capes, especially at sunset. Tell us which you prefer, and we book your room.

Tell us how many days you have on the trail. We plan the walk through Gey with you, from the climb out of Kabak to the long beach at Patara.
