New Anatolian cooking on the top floors of The Marmara Pera since 2005, with a MICHELIN Star and a view across the whole city.
Mikla sits on the top floors of The Marmara Pera, on Meşrutiyet Caddesi in Tepebaşı, high above Beyoğlu. It opened in 2005, cooks what it calls New Anatolian cuisine and holds one MICHELIN Star. From its tables, the view turns across the old city and the water.
Mikla opened in October 2005 as a contemporary Istanbul restaurant. Then, in August 2012, it began to cook New Anatolian cuisine: ingredients chosen from every corner of Anatolia, treated with respect and served in a modern way.

The wine list leans on Turkish wines, such as Boğazkere and Öküzgözü from the east, beside a few international bottles. Above the restaurant, the roof terrace bar looks out over Galata at sunset.
Mikla prints its menu every day, so dishes change with what arrives. On the menu the restaurant shows as an example, you find whole wheat mantı with smoked buffalo yogurt, charred calamari with broad beans and tarator, and a dessert of burned hazelnut halva with rice pudding. If you would rather not order à la carte, there is a set menu of three courses, a seven-course tasting menu and a vegan tasting menu.
We suggest it for the big dinner of your trip, an anniversary or a celebration. It also suits wine lovers who want to taste Turkish grapes with food made for them.
Book a table for sunset, start with a drink on the roof terrace, then sit down as the lights come on. For more tables with a view, read The 6 Best Rooftop Restaurants in Istanbul, and for the city's other starred kitchens, Michelin Star Restaurants in Istanbul: All Eight Tables.
We reserve your table at Mikla.

Our Beyoğlu and Galata walk visits the Pera Museum on the same street, so you can see the quarter by day and come back to Mikla’s roof for dinner.
