A small hotel in a red-brick 1980s beer warehouse in Alaçatı, with 24 rooms around a pool, a library and one MICHELIN Key.
Warehouse by The Stay is a small hotel in a former beer warehouse of the 1980s, close to the center of Alaçatı. The red-brick building now holds 24 rooms around a pool and a garden. Because it doubles as a small cultural venue, the hotel also has a stage and a library. Warehouse by The Stay holds one MICHELIN Key.
Many small hotels in Alaçatı sit in restored stone houses, but this one began as a storage building. So the rooms follow an industrial style, with reclaimed materials and views over the garden. At the center of the hotel, a restaurant faces the pool.
Quick facts
In the 1980s the building served as a beer warehouse. You can still read its past in the shape of the roof, the red brick and the wide shop windows. Later, it found a new life with its industrial look kept. Today the old storage halls hold rooms, a library and a stage for events. Even the name keeps the building's past in view.
Warehouse belongs to The Stay, a small Turkish group of six boutique hotels. During the conversion, the builders used reclaimed materials and kept the industrial feel. At the same time, they gave the building a cultural side. For example, through the year the hotel hosts music and theater, film screenings and cooking workshops, and its library collects books on art and architecture.
The hotel lies close to the center of Alaçatı, so the old town's stone houses and cobbled lanes are a short walk away. Down at the coast, the bay is shallow and shaped like a V. Because north winds blow there from June to mid-September, windsurfers come every summer. For the beaches around the peninsula, however, a car or a driver is the easiest way. In the evening, Alaçatı Port is a good spot for the sunset. Each spring the town also holds a herb festival, and the 15th took place in April 2026.
Çeşme town lies at the tip of the peninsula and takes its name from its many spring-fed fountains. Sultan Bayezid II had its castle built in 1508 on the shore, but later landfill left it inland. Today the castle shows finds from the excavations at Erythrai. Because Çeşme is the closest Turkish point to Chios, ferries also leave from here for the Greek island. Nearby, Ilıca has a warm, shallow sea. Farther north, the ancient city of Erythrai lies 20 km (12 miles) from Çeşme. For a second day out, Urla pairs well with Alaçatı, with ancient Klazomenai, an olive oil museum and the vineyards of the Urla wine route.
Warehouse by The Stay suits travelers who like design and want something different from a stone-house hotel. It also suits art and music lovers, since the events and the library give the hotel a life beyond the rooms. With a Grand Hall and long tables under the olive trees, it works well for small weddings and celebrations. However, families looking for a big beach resort may prefer a hotel on the shore.

The poolside restaurant serves a breakfast of local flavors. Then, at lunch and dinner, the menu mixes European and Turkish cooking. In the evening, events move between the garden and the Grand Hall. We book your stay at Warehouse by The Stay.
