A konak hotel in a century-old building in Gaziantep's historic Bey quarter, with a lobby of old objects and a cave restaurant.
Zeynep Hanım Konakları is a konak (a large traditional mansion) hotel in the historic Bey Mahallesi of Gaziantep. It fills a building about a hundred years old, restored from old Gaziantep houses. Inside, a lobby full of old objects leads to a restaurant in a cave.
The hotel takes its name from a woman. Its owners, the Uğurlu hotel group, named each of their konaks after women in their managers' families. The names also nod to the place of women in the Turkish Republic. The hotel is one of six sister konaks in the city.

There are 42 rooms, from singles to triples and executive rooms, so the hotel suits families and small groups. Each room has air conditioning, heating, a safe and a bathroom with a shower. Reception is open around the clock. From the hotel, the train station is 3 kilometers (2 miles) away, while Gaziantep Airport is 20 kilometers (12 miles) away. The lobby also keeps a collection of old objects.
Breakfast is a local open buffet, served in the hotel's cave restaurant. The same room also hosts private dinners.
We suggest it for families and groups who want a konak hotel in an old quarter of Gaziantep, because the castle is a 5- to 8-minute walk away. The coppersmiths' bazaar and the Zeugma Mosaic Museum are also within walking distance.
Our Gaziantep food and Zeugma tour starts with a Gaziantep breakfast. Then it walks the market lanes and ends at the mosaic museum.
We book your stay at Zeynep Hanım Konakları, or at one of the other best hotels in Gaziantep.
