One of Turkey's largest indoor arenas, in Ataköy, where Galatasaray play basketball and world finals have been held.
The Sinan Erdem Dome is one of Turkey's largest indoor arenas, in the Ataköy district of Istanbul. Its capacity is about 16,000 seats for basketball. Today, Galatasaray play their home basketball games here. Before that, the dome hosted the final of the 2010 FIBA World Championship and several EuroLeague Final Fours.
The dome stands in Ataköy, in the Bakırköy district on the European side of Istanbul, less than a kilometer from the Şirinevler metrobus stop. The hall takes its name from Sinan Erdem, a former president of the Turkish National Olympic Committee.
Quick facts
The dome opened in 2010, in time for the FIBA World Championship, and the tournament's final was played here. Later, it hosted EuroLeague Final Fours, among them those of 2012 and 2017. Besides basketball, volleyball comes here too: in 2026, the women's EuroVolley finals took place in the hall. Concerts and shows also fill the rest of the calendar. For the European Games of June 16–27, 2027, Istanbul builds no new venues and uses existing ones such as this dome.

The arena opens for games and events only, so you need a ticket for a match day. We arrange your seats, and then we bring you there and back by private car. To learn how the Turkish leagues work, read our guide to basketball in Turkey.
