Ülker Sports Arena

Overview

The Ülker Sports Arena is the home of Fenerbahçe's basketball team, in the Ataşehir district on the Asian side of Istanbul. It opened in January 2012. So it is the place to see Fenerbahçe play EuroLeague basketball at home. This season, the arena hosts Fenerbahçe vs ASVEL on 17 November and Fenerbahçe vs Crvena Zvezda on 3 December.

Where the Ülker Sports Arena stands

The arena sits in Batı Ataşehir, as part of Fenerbahçe's international sports complex. Its official name is the Ülker Sports and Event Hall.

The History of the Ülker Sports Arena

A first game against Milan

The arena opened in January 2012 with a EuroLeague game between Fenerbahçe and Armani Milan. Fenerbahçe won that first night, 65–63. Since then, the club has played its home games here, in Turkish and European competition. In December, Fenerbahçe meets Maccabi Tel Aviv here on the 17th and Panathinaikos on the 29th.

Games, concerts and shows

From the start, the hall was built for more than basketball. It was also designed for concerts and shows, so the hall is used outside the basketball season too.
