The Bodrum EDITION at a glance

Inside, the look is spare yet warm. Wood finishes, light fabrics and marble bathrooms give the rooms the feel of a beach house, and most of them face the Aegean. Beyond the rooms, you find a spa, an infinity pool and a beach club. At night, you can choose a grill above the bay or Turkish, Japanese and Latin American menus. Finally, a nightclub keeps going after dinner.
Quick facts
- Good for: couples and friends who want a social beach stay, food lovers, a spa break

The Site and Its Story
A cove at Yalıkavak
The resort fills about 22,000 square meters (5.4 acres) of a cove that lies out of the strongest winds. Its grounds form a horseshoe that slopes down to a beach of about 100 m (330 feet) and a jetty with cabanas. The landscaping keeps to the plants of the peninsula itself, so native olive trees grow between the buildings. In the same way, builders used local stone throughout the resort.
How the Bodrum EDITION was built
Ian Schrager's company shaped the concept, while the designer Christophe Pillet worked with that team on the reception. There, a glass atrium frames the bay as you walk in, so the sea is the first thing you see. The hotel opened in the summer of 2018. Since then, the restaurant has held its MICHELIN Star for three years in a row, through 2026.
Where the Bodrum EDITION Sits
Yalıkavak lies at the western point of the peninsula, and its marina is about 3 km (2 miles) from the hotel. By contrast, Bodrum town lies on the far side of the peninsula. There, Bodrum Castle stands where the first settlement of ancient Halicarnassus stood. The Knights of Saint John built it between 1406 and 1523, and today it holds the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology. In town are the remains of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. For flights, Milas-Bodrum Airport lies 37 km (23 miles) from the center of Bodrum. Our Bodrum guide covers the town, its bays and the Carian sites inland.
Day trips from Yalıkavak
Inland, Milas was once Mylasa, the seat of the Hecatomnid dynasty. Around 367 BC, Mausolus moved his capital from there to Halicarnassus. Today Milas lies just 17 km (11 miles) from the airport. You can visit it on the day you fly in or out. By sea, a day on a yacht shows you the coast of the peninsula from the water.
Who It Suits
The Bodrum EDITION suits couples and friends who want a beach by day and a lively dinner at night. It also suits food lovers, since Kitchen holds a MICHELIN Star. Because the mood is stylish but casual, it fits travelers who like good design without formality.
