An eight-room cave and stone hotel in Ürgüp, rebuilt from a ruin by the Erinal family in 2006 and renewed by the next generation in 2026.
Meleklerevi is a small family cave hotel in Ürgüp, one of the main towns of Cappadocia. It has eight cave and stone rooms, and the family that rebuilt it from a ruin still runs it.
Arzu Yüksel and Muammer Erinal came to Cappadocia on a short trip and found a ruined stone building. Where others saw only a ruin, they saw a house. Then, in 2006, they dug out its old stones one by one and set them back in place. After a long restoration, Meleklerevi took its first guests in 2007.
In 2026, the next generation, Ada and İris Erinal, took up the story. They renewed the house and gave each room a new character, while they kept its old stone.
Some rooms are cut into the rock, and others have stone walls and vaulted ceilings. They range from 25 to 45 square meters (270 to 480 square feet). However, the house takes guests aged 12 and over.

Each of the eight rooms has a one-word name: Shadow, Echo, Arche, Dust, Root, Ember, Lumen and Aether. Together they stand for the stages of a journey inward. For example, Aether, the last of them, is a cave room on the top floor.
We suggest it for couples who want a small family hotel with character, within reach of the restaurants and wineries of Ürgüp.
Our Cappadocia wine tour walks through the old quarter of Ürgüp and stops at a local winery for a tasting. Then it ends with the sunset from Uçhisar. Rebuilt from a ruin, it opens the Ürgüp section of our family-run hotels in Cappadocia.
